Double-device Data Correction
Lockstep systems are fault-tolerant computer systems that run the same set of operations at the same time in parallel. The redundancy (duplication) allows error detection and error correction: the output from lockstep operations can be compared to determine if there has been a fault if there are at least two systems (dual modular redundancy DMR), and the error can be automatically corrected if there are at least three systems (triple modular redundancy TMR), via majority vote. The term " lockstep" originates from army usage, where it refers to synchronized walking, in which marchers walk as closely together as physically practical. To run in lockstep, each system is set up to progress from one well-defined state to the next well-defined state. When a new set of inputs reaches the system, it processes them, generates new outputs and updates its state. Derbyshire Dales District Council
Derbyshire Dales ( ) is a local government district in Derbyshire, England. The district was created in 1974 as West Derbyshire; the name was changed to Derbyshire Dales in 1987. The council is based in the town of Matlock, and the district also includes the towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Darley Dale and Wirksworth, as well as numerous villages and extensive rural areas. Much of the district is within the Peak District National Park. The neighbouring districts are High Peak, Sheffield, North East Derbyshire, Amber Valley, South Derbyshire, East Staffordshire and Staffordshire Moorlands. History The district was formed on 1 April 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 as one of nine districts within Derbyshire. Fred Koe
Fred Koe (born March 8, 1947) is a former territorial level politician and Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest territories from 1991 to 1995. He was born in Aklavik. Koe is the son of Jim Koe, who was the chief of the Aklavik Indian Band. He grew up in Aklavik and would later move to Inuvik. At the age of 11, he was a victim of the Canadian Indian residential school system, and was forced to go school in Inuvik, away from his family. Koe ran for a seat in the Northwest Territories Legislature in the 1991 Northwest Territories general election. He won the Inuvik (electoral district), Inuvik electoral district defeating future Commissioner Glenna Hansen. Koe was defeated one term later defending his incumbency. He was defeated by candidate Floyd Roland in the 1995 Northwest Territories general election. After his defeat, Koe became president, Northwest Territories Development Corporation.
