D501 is a state road connecting D3 state road and the A6 motorway Oštrovica interchange to littoral area between Kraljevica, Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski as well as the island of Krk, terminating at D8 intersection near Jadranovo. The road is 20.3 km long. D501 is a connecting route providing a link between two major state roads (D3 and D8) and one motorway (A6). An additional motorway interchange, to A7 is planned, in Meja interchange, which is currently under construction. D102 is a state road connecting the mainland to island of Krk and terminating at the southern tip of the island in Baška. The road is 48.3 km long. D102 is the main road route on the island of Krk. The northern terminus of the road is located near Kraljevica, at an intersection with D8 state route - the Adriatic Highway. The road includes Krk bridge. In the northern part of the island, between Omišalj and Malinska it runs parallel to the shore at a distance of approximately 2 km. In that section, short D103 state road connects D102 to Rijeka Airport. Further to the south, D102 extends through the centre of the island to the city of Krk. Krk Bridge
Krk Bridge ( hr, Krčki most) is a long reinforced concrete arch bridge connecting the Croatian island of Krk to the mainland. Carrying over a million vehicles per year, it was the last tolled bridge in Croatia that is not part of a motorway until the removal of tolls. The longer of the bridge's two arches is the third-longest concrete arch in the world and the longest outside of China, and among the longest arches of any construction. The bridge was completed and opened in July 1980 and originally named Tito's Bridge ( hr, Titov most) in honor of Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito, who had died two months earlier.
