D3football.com is an organization that reports and recognizes accomplishments of NCAA Division III football. Some of the main goals of the D3football.com are to highlight the lower divisions of the NCAA and promote those student athletes. D3football.com is also responsible for one of the two Top 25 polls for NCAA Division III, Division III football, along with the American Football Coaches Association. They also keep attendance records for NCAA Division III football as well, since the NCAA does not recognize attendance records for lower divisions. The organization recognizes individuals through weekly awards throughout the season, as well as all-region and all-American teams at the conclusion of the year. They also help to present the Gagliardi Trophy by announcing semifinalist, finalist, and winner. Chris Winter is an American college football coach. He was named the head football coach in 2021 at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, after serving as an assistant since 2004, under former head football coach Rick Willis. In just his second year at the helm of the Wartburg Knights, he lead them to a program record 13 wins and to the first NCAA Division III Semifinal appearance in school history. Thomas Edward Arth (born May 11, 1981) is an American football coach and former player. He is a passing game specialist for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL), a position he had held since 2022. Arth served as the head football coach at John Carroll University from 2013 to 2016, the University of Tennessee Chattanooga from 2017 to 2018, and the University of Akron from 2019 to 2021. Jeff Thorne is an American football coach and former player. He was the offensive coordinator at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2022. Thorne served as the head football coach at North Central College from 2015 to 2021. He succeeded his father, John Thorne, and led the 2019 team to an NCAA Division III national title. Pete Fredenburg
Pete Fredenburg (born September 15, 1949) is a former American football coach. He was most recently the head coach at the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor in Belton, Texas, a position he had held since 1997; the program began play in 1998. Fredenburg has led Mary Hardin–Baylor to three NCAA Division III Football Championship titles, in 2016, 2018, and 2021. The 2016 title later was later vacated. His 2004 squad finished as runners-up, losing to Linfield. Before coming to Mary Hardin–Baylor, Fredenburg served as an assistant coach at Baylor University (1982–1993), Louisiana State University (1994), and Louisiana Tech University (1995–1996). Lance Leipold ( ; born May 6, 1964) is an American college football coach who has been the head football coach at the University of Kansas since 2021. Leipold served as the head football coach at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater (UWW) from 2007 to 2014 and at University at Buffalo from 2015 to 2020. During his tenure at UWW, the Wisconsin–Whitewater Warhawks won the NCAA Division III Football Championship in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014 and were runners-up in 2008. During his time at Wisconsin-Whitewater, Leipold led the Warhawks to 5 undefeated seasons.
