The communes of Algeria (Arabic: بلدية (singular)), also known as municipalities, form the third level of administrative subdivisions of Algeria. As of 2002, there were 1,541 municipalities in the country. The municipalites are also known as communes (baladiyahs). Aïn Beida, Ouargla
Ain Beida (, lit. ''white eye'') is a town and commune in Sidi Khouïled District, Ouargla Province, Algeria. According to the 2008 census it has a population of 19,039, up from 14,500 in 1998, and an annual population growth rate of 2.8%. Ain Beida is just from central Ouargla and is effectively a suburb of the city. It is also home to the Ain Beida Airport, Ouargla's principal airport. Climate Ain Beida has a hot desert climate (Köppen climate classification ''BWh''), with very hot summers and mild winters. Rainfall is light and sporadic, and summers are particularly dry. Education 5.4% of the population has a tertiary education, and another 16.2% has completed secondary education. The overall literacy rate is 82.5%, and is 91.1% among males and 73.5% among females. Aïn Beïda () is a city and municipality (baladiyah) located in Oum El Bouaghi Province, Algeria Algeria, officially the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. It is bordered to Algeria–Tunisia border, the northeast by Tunisia; to Algeria–Libya border, the east by Libya; to Alger ..., south east of Constantine and north of Khenchla, inhabited by Chaouis and Arabs. In 1998 its population was 88,300. Etymology ''Aïn'' is Arabic and means spring, while ''Beïda'' means white. Thus, Aïn Beïda literally means "White spring". Aïn Azel
The commune of Aïn Azel (French: Ampère, Tamazight: ⴰⵉⵏ ⴰⵣⵍ) was a farming settlement constructed by France in 1895 and named after the French scientist André-Marie Ampère, Aïn Azel is located fifty kilometres south of Sétif in Algeria and is at the frontier between Sétif Province and Batna Province. The population of Aïn Azel is of chaoui origins estimated to be around 37,970 people (2008), the male population of Ain azel is referred to as "Les Ampérois" and the female population as "Les Ampéroises". Ampère was established as a full-fledged commune by decree of 12 April 1922 and It was attached to the department of Setif in 1956.
