The Qiantang River (), formerly known as the Hangchow River Postal Map Romanization, or Tsientang River, is a rivers of China, river in East China. Chekiang Province, Republic Of China
Chekiang was a province of the Republic of China (ROC) created after the end of the Qing dynasty. It was conquered by the People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1955. The ROC abandoned Mainland China at the end of the Chinese Civil War, and Chekiang was reduced to coastal islands including Yushan, Toumenshan, Yijiangshan, Dachen, Pishan and Nanji. The ROC attacked the PRC from Chekiang, with raids on Zhejiang and occasionally areas near Shanghai. Yandang Mountains
Yandang Mountains or Yandangshan () refers, in the broad sense, to a coastal mountain range in southeastern Zhejiang province in eastern China, covering much of the prefecture-level city of Wenzhou (from Pingyang County in the south to Yueqing County in the northeast) and extending to the county-level city of Wenling in Taizhou prefecture. The mountain range is divided in two by the Oujiang River, the two parts being the North Yandang and South Yandang. More narrowly, Yandangshan is also used to refer to , a specific part of the North Yandang around an ancient caldera near a small town of the same name ().
