Yuhuan () is a county-level city of Taizhou, at the midsection along the coast of southeastern Zhejiang Province, China. Yuhuan, with total area of including land area of , has a total population of 392,800 containing a permanent population of 93,000 from other provinces and regions. Yuhuan administers three streets, six towns and two villages, referring to Yucheng Street, Damaiyu Street, Kanmen Street; Chumen Town, Qinggang Town, Lupu Town, Ganjiang Town, Shamen Town, Longxi Town; Jishan Village and Haishan Village. Yucheng Street is the administrative and commercial center of Yuhuan. Environment Yuhuan consists of numerous islands as well as a mainland part. Yuhuan Island is the largest island, and has maximum elevation of . Yuhuan Island is nowadays connected to the mainland with dikes and reclaimed land. Shamen
Shamen Town (in ) is a town-level Administrative divisions of China, administrative unit under Yuhuan, Zhejiang, Zhejiang Province, China, People's Republic of China. It is situated northeast of Yuhuan, bordering the East and South with the East China Sea, and connecting to Longxi Town, Longxi, Chumen, and Qinggang, Zhejiang, Qinggang to the west, and Chengnan Town, Chengnan of Wenling to the north. It covers an area of 36.69 square kilometers and administratively includes 23 village-level divisions. Shamen is the central town of the province of Zhejiang, known for its emphasis on education and eco-friendly initiatives. In 2017, the total population of the town was 25,884. Originally named Tongli Township (in ), Shamen was established as a town in 1986. Damaiyu Subdistrict (in Chinese language, Chinese: ) is a Subdistricts of China, subdistrict office under the jurisdiction of Yuhuan, Yuhuan City, Zhejiang, Zhejiang Province, China, People's Republic of China. Its predecessor was Chenyu Town (). It covers a land area of 70.93 square kilometers and administers 6 communities and 48 administrative villages. According to the 2017 census, Damaiyu Subdistrict has a registered population of 56,476 people, with an additional approximate 41,000 registered non-local population.
