Yanqing District
Yanqing District (), formerly known as Yanqing County before 2015, is a District (China), district of the municipality of Beijing located northwest of the city proper of Beijing, 74km away from the city center. The district consists of 3 Subdistrict (China), subdistricts, 11 Town (China), towns and 4 Township (China), townships, and borders the Beijing districts of Huairou District, Huairou to the east and Changping District, Changping to the south as well as the Hebei counties of Huailai County, Huailai to the west and Chicheng County, Chicheng to the north. Guanting Reservoir
Guanting Reservoir (), also known as Guanting Shuiku, is the first large-scale reservoir after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Guanting Reservoir is located at the junction of Beijing and Hebei Province, mostly in Huailai County, Hebei Province, and a small part in Yanqing County, Beijing. The reservoir is named after the dam built near the Guanting Town (官厅镇). History Guanting Reservoir started construction in October 1951 and was completed on 13 May 1954, with the main flow of water being the Yongding River in Huailai. Badaling Great Wall
Badaling () is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately northwest of Beijing's city center, in Badaling Town, Yanqing District, Beijing municipality.
