The wrestling events at the 2019 European Games were held at the Minsk Sports Palace with a capacity 3,300 seats from 25 to 30 June. 18 events were held, six events in freestyle for men, six events for women, and six in the Greco-Roman style for men. Minsk Sports Palace
Minsk Sports Palace is an indoor arena, indoor sports arena, located in Minsk, Belarus. The arena seats 4,842 spectators and opened in 1966. It hosts various indoor events, including HC Dynamo Minsk and the Kontinental Hockey League before Minsk-Arena was completed. History From the 1960s–1980s, the largest state events were held at the Sports Palace. Championships and international tournaments in wrestling, fencing, boxing, weightlifting, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics and other sports were also held there, including matches in the championship hockey club of the Union Dynamo and handball SKA. Victor Ciobanu (born 7 October 1992) is a Moldovan Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the 60kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. He is the first wrestler representing Moldova to win a gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling at the World Wrestling Championships. Erik Torba (born 1 February 1996) is a Hungarian Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a silver medalist at the European Games and a bronze medalist at the European Wrestling Championships. Jamaladdin Gadzhievich Magomedov (; ; born March 14, 1989, in Makhachkala) is a Russian-born naturalized Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler of Avar descent, who played for the men's super heavyweight category.
