''Wisden Cricketers' Almanack'', or simply ''Wisden'', colloquially the Bible of Cricket, is a cricket reference book published annually in the United Kingdom. The description "Bible of cricket" (or variations thereof) has been applied to ''Wisden'' since the early 1900s. Between 1998 and 2005, an Australian edition of ''Wisden'' was published. An Indian version, edited by Suresh Menon, was produced annually from 2013 to 2018, but discontinued following the publication of a combined 2019 and 2020 issue. Lawrence Booth (cricket Writer)
Lawrence Booth (born 2 April 1975 at Oxford) is a British sports journalist, author, cricket correspondent of the ''Daily Mail'', and editor of ''Wisden Cricketers' Almanack'' since 2012. Career Booth was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, before going up to Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, where he read Modern Languages. Booth became the youngest Wisden editor for 72 years upon his appointment in 2012. He had previously written for ''The Guardian'', ''The Observer'' and ''The Sunday Times'', and is still a regular contributor to '' Wisden Cricket Monthly'' magazine. He wrote "The Spin" column at ''The Guardian'' for seven years, and his "Top Spin" column for MailOnline was named "Online Column of the Year" at the 2010 Sports Journalists' Association awards. Charles Frederick Pardon (28 March 1850 - 18 April 1890) was editor of ''Wisden Cricketers' Almanack'' between 1887 and 1890. His father was the journalist George Frederick Pardon. It was during his time as editor that the Wisden Cricketers of the Year awards began. Fred Lillywhite
Frederick Lillywhite (7 July 1829 – 15 September 1866) was a sports outfitter and cricketing entrepreneur, who organised the first overseas cricket tour by an English team and published a number of reference works about cricket. Cricketing dynasty Lillywhite was born in Hove, Sussex on 7 July 1829. He was the third son of (Frederick) William Lillywhite (1792–1854), the Sussex bowler known as the "Nonpareil" ("unrivalled"); younger brother of the batsman and umpire John Lillywhite (1826–74); and cousin of James Lillywhite (1842–1929) who captained England in the first Test match played against Australia in Melbourne in 1877.
