Commonwealth Oil Refineries (COR) was an Australian oil company that operated between 1920 and 1952 as a joint venture between the Government of Australia and Anglo-Persian Oil Company. Early history The partnership was established in 1920 on the initiative of Prime Minister of Australia, Australian prime minister Billy Hughes. CBH Group
The CBH Group (commonly known as CBH, an acronym for Co-operative Bulk Handling) is a grain growers' cooperative that handles, markets and processes grain from the wheatbelt of Western Australia. History CBH was formed on 5 April 1933, at a time when a royal commission on bulk handling of grain was in progress, and after over 20 years of failed proposals for bulk handling of grain in Western Australia. The trustees of the Wheat Board of Western Australia and Wesfarmers registered the company together with capital of £100,000 divided evenly into 100,000 shares. The cooperative was formed under the principle of one person, one vote, regardless of the amount of grain supplied. Western Australian Farmers Federation
WAFarmers, formerly the Western Australian Farmers Federation, is an agricultural organisation in Western Australia. History As early as 1890 some farming organisations had been formed in Western Australia, with the Wheatgrowers' Association being formed in 1908. In March 1912 the Farmers and Settlers' Association was formed in part as a response to a letter to WA farmers from the Rural Workers' Union of Australia discussing farm workers' wages and merged with the Wheatgrowers' Association. The Farmers and Settlers' Association, together with the Producers' Union, formed the business Westralian Farmers (known later as Wesfarmers) in 1913.
