Wakiso District
Wakiso District is a Districts of Uganda, district in the Central Region, Uganda, Central Region of Uganda that partly encircles Kampala, Uganda's capital city. The town of Wakiso is the site of the district headquarters. Kira Town, Kira, the country's second largest city and suburb of Kampala, is in the district. Districts Of Uganda
As of 1 July 2020, Uganda is divided into 135 districts plus the capital city of Kampala, which are grouped into four Regions of Uganda, geographic regions. Since 2005, the Ugandan government has been in the process of dividing districts into smaller units. This decentralization is intended to prevent resources from being distributed primarily to chief towns and leaving the remainder of each district neglected. Each district is further divided into Counties of Uganda, counties and municipalities, and each county is further divided into Sub-counties of Uganda, sub-counties. Entebbe
Entebbe is a city in Central Region, Uganda, Central Uganda which is located on Lake Victoria peninsula, approximately southwest of the Ugandan capital city, Kampala. Ssabagabo, also known as Makindye-Ssabagabo or Ssabagabo-Makindye, is a municipality in Uganda. Kakiri
Kakiri is a town located in Wakiso District in the Central Region of Uganda. Kakiri is the site of the headquarters of the first division of the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF). It is also the hometown of Gilbert Bukenya, who represents the town and the surrounding constituency of Busiro North in the parliament of Uganda and is a former vice president of Uganda. History Kakiri was affected by the Ugandan Bush War. On 5 April 1981, the town was the site of a Popular Resistance Army raid targeting a local Uganda National Liberation Army (UNLA) camp.
