''VeggieTales'' is an American Christian media, Christian Computer animated, CGI-animated series and multimedia franchise created by Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki under Big Idea Entertainment. The series stars Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber leading a variety of fruit and vegetable characters as they retell stories from the Bible and parody pop culture while also teaching life lessons according to a biblical world view. One of the earliest computer animated franchises, it was first released in 1993 on VHS, as a direct-to-video series, and later on DVD and Blu-ray through to 2015. The success of the videos led to multiple spin-off television series, such as ''VeggieTales on TV!, which'' ran on NBC from 2006 to 2009, two Netflix series that debuted in 2014 and 2017, and a series produced by Trinity Broadcasting Network in 2019. The series presents life lessons from a biblical world view featuring various garden-variety vegetable and fruit characters retelling Bible stories and parodying pop culture. The VeggieTales Show
''The VeggieTales Show'' (often marketed as simply ''VeggieTales'') is an American Christian animated television series created by Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki. The series served as a revival and sequel of the American Christian computer-animated franchise ''VeggieTales''. It was produced through the partnerships of TBN, NBCUniversal, Big Idea Entertainment, and Trilogy Animation, and ran from October 22, 2019, to April 1, 2022. Vischer, Nawrocki, and Lisa Vischer reprised their respective roles as the voices of Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber, and Junior Asparagus, with Kurt Heinecke returning to compose the show's music score. They are joined by the creative team led by show-runner Todd Waterman. This was the first ''VeggieTales'' production to be entirely outsourced following DreamWorks Animation's closure of Big Idea's headquarters in 2017, and the last production to involve the Vischers, Nawrocki and Heinecke before their departure from the franchise in 2021. ...

''VeggieTales in the City'' is an American animated comedy Christian television series produced by Big Idea Entertainment. The series is a sequel/continuation to '' VeggieTales in the House'' and it premiered on Netflix on February 24, 2017 with the release of 13 episodes. A second season was released on September 15, 2017. The series was removed by Netflix on September 15, 2023. Phil Vischer
Phillip Roger Vischer (born June 16, 1966) is an American filmmaker, animator, author, puppeteer, and voice actor. He is the creator of the animated video series ''VeggieTales'' alongside Mike Nawrocki. He provided the voice of Bob the Tomato, Archibald Asparagus, Pa Grape, Jimmy Gourd, Mr. Lunt, Mr. Nezzer, Phillipe Pea and about half of the other characters in the series. Currently, he owns a small film business, Jellyfish Labs, based in Wheaton, Illinois. Early life and education Vischer was born on June 16, 1966, in Muscatine, Iowa, United States, and grew up in Chicago, Illinois with his younger brother, Rob Vischer, who is the President of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mike Nawrocki
Michael Louis Nawrocki (born July 8, 1966) is an American animator, filmmaker, teacher, and voice actor best known as the co-creator of the Christianity, Christian video series, ''VeggieTales'' where he voiced Larry the Cucumber. He voiced many other main characters on the show, including List of VeggieTales characters#Jimmy and Jerry Gourd, Jerry Gourd, List of VeggieTales characters#The French Peas, Jean-Claude Pea, and other various characters, is the co-founder of Big Idea Entertainment alongside Phil Vischer. Kurt Heinecke
Kurt Henry Heinecke (born January 10, 1963) is an American composer, musician, songwriter, photographer, and voice actor. He was the music director at Big Idea Entertainment, creators of the animated VeggieTales. He is the Assistant Artistic Director at Music City Strings. Biography Early life Heinecke was born in Wisconsin on January 10, 1963, and raised in Cullman, Alabama. He came from a musical family, his mother played the organ and was a member of the church choir. During his years at junior high he and his friends started a jazz band called Deathstar which later disbanded in high school. After graduation in 1982, Heinecke studied at the music lab at the University of Montevallo.
