Uttarakhand Super League
The Uttarakhand Super League (USL) is a top state-level football league sanctioned by both the All India Football Federation and Uttarakhand State Football Association, that represents the sport in the state of Uttarakhand. The league is organized by the Uttarakhand Adventure Sports Pvt. Ltd. with the goal of promoting football throughout the state. The league began in July 2016 with fourteen teams playing the inaugural season. History In early March 2016 it was announced that Uttarakhand Adventure Sports Pvt Limited, with permission from the All India Football Federation and the Uttarakhand State Football Association, would launch a franchise-based football league based on the Indian Super League. Indira Gandhi International Sports Stadium
Indira Gandhi International Sports Stadium is located in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India. It can seat 25,000 spectators and was inaugurated on 18 December 2016 by Harish Rawat, the then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. The 2016 Uttarakhand Super League season (known as the 2016 JSW Uttarakhand Super League for sponsorship reasons) was the first season of the Uttarakhand Super League football competition since its foundation earlier in the year. The season featured fourteen teams and kicked off on 10 July 2016. Pauri Platoons emerged as the first champions after defeating Nainital FC Lakes in the final on 9 August.
