U.S. Route 90
U.S. Route 90 or U.S. Highway 90 (US 90) is an east–west major United States highway in the Southern United States. Despite the "0" in its route number, US 90 never was a full coast-to-coast route. It generally travels near Interstate 10 (I-10) and passes through the southern states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. US 90 also includes part of the DeSoto Trail between Tallahassee and Lake City, Florida. With the exception of a short-lived northward extension to US 62/ US 180 near Pine Springs, Texas, that existed for less than one year, its western terminus has always been at Van Horn, Texas; this is an intersection with I-10 Business (formerly US 80) just north of an interchange with I-10. Van Horn is a town in and the county seat of Culberson County, Texas, United States. According to the 2010 census, Van Horn had a population of 2,063, down from 2,435 at the 2000 census. The Fort Pike Bridge (also known as the Rigolets Bridge), named after nearby Fort Pike, carries U.S. Route 90 across the Rigolets on the eastern side of Lake Pontchartrain between New Orleans and Slidell in Louisiana. Biloxi Bay Bridge
The Biloxi Bay Bridge is a bridge in the U.S. state of Mississippi which carries U.S. Route 90 in Mississippi, U.S. Route 90 (US 90) over Biloxi Bay between Biloxi, Mississippi, Biloxi and Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Ocean Springs. Though the bridge's ballast and accompanying railroad track was heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, the structure remained and subsequently underwent major repairs.
