Tseung Kwan O
Tseung Kwan O New Town, commonly known as Tseung Kwan O ( zh, t=將軍澳新市鎮, j=Zoeng1 gwan1 ou3 san1 si5 zan3), is one of the nine New towns of Hong Kong, new towns in Hong Kong, built mainly on Land reclamation in Hong Kong, reclaimed land in the northern half of Junk Bay in southeastern New Territories, after which it is named. Development of the new town was approved in 1982, with the initial population intake occurring in 1988. As of 2016, the town is home to around 396,000 residents. The total development area of Tseung Kwan O, including its industrial estate, is about , with a planned population of 445,000. Junk Bay
Junk Bay, also known by its Chinese transliteration Tseung Kwan O or Cheung Kwan O (); is a bay in Sai Kung District, New Territories, Hong Kong. In the northern tip of the bay lies the Tseung Kwan O Village. The Tseung Kwan O New Town, one of the nine New towns of Hong Kong, new towns in Hong Kong, was mainly built on Land reclamation in Hong Kong, reclaimed land in the northern half of the bay. The population as of 2011 is about 368,000. Name In Cantonese, ''Tseung Kwan'' () means the "general" of an army, and ''O'' () means "bay". Tiu Keng Leng Station
Tiu Keng Leng station is an MTR station located in Tiu Keng Leng. The station features cross-platform interchange between the and the , and serves as the eastern terminus of the Kwun Tong line and the western terminus of the Tseung Kwan O line for LOHAS Park shuttle. It is located between Tseung Kwan O and Yau Tong stations on the Tseung Kwan O line, and proceeds to Yau Tong station on the Kwun Tong line. It is the only station on the Kwun Tong line located in the New Territories. The livery of the station is yellow-green. The station is situated next to the developments of Kin Ming Estate and Choi Ming Court. Its main entrance is located on Chui Ling Road. Tseung Kwan O Station
Tseung Kwan O (; : ) is a station on the MTR located at the town centre of the Tseung Kwan O New Town in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The previous station is and the line splits after this station to and . The entrances to the station are on Tong Chun Street, Popcorn Mall and Tong Yin Street. Hang Hau Station
Hang Hau (; Cantonese Yale: Hāangháu) is an MTR station of , located at Pui Shing Road, Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It was the easternmost station in the MTR railway system, until LOHAS Park station opened on 26 July 2009. It was named after Hang Hau Village, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Po Lam Station
Po Lam (; Cantonese Yale: Bóulàhm) is the northern terminus MTR station of the . It is located on Mau Yip Road, Po Lam, in the New Territories of Hong Kong, sandwiched by Phases 1 to 3 of Metro City. Built by Maeda Corporation, it opened on 18 August 2002. The name of the station is taken from the nearby Po Lam Road North. Station layout Unlike most MTR stations and unique in the , the concourse, gates and platform of Po Lam station are on the same level. Tracks ascend from underground to ground level at the southern end of the station, along King Lam Estate. A park is located on top of the tracks to cover them. Po Lam Estate
Po Lam Estate () is a mixed Tenants Purchase Scheme, TPS and public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Metro City (Hong Kong), Metro City and MTR Po Lam station. It is the first public housing estate in Tseung Kwan O and has a total of seven residential blocks with 5,272 units. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 6A in 2004. The Chinese Civil War was fought between the Kuomintang-led Nationalist government, government of the Republic of China (1912–1949), Republic of China and the forces of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
