Treyarch Corporation ( ; formerly Treyarch Invention LLC) is an American video game developer based in Los Angeles with Additional studio locations in Vancouver, Canada; and Austin, Texas. Founded in 1996 by Peter Akemann and Doğan Köslü, it was acquired by Activision in 2001. The studio is known for its work for the ''Call of Duty'' series, which it develops alongside Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. History Treyarch was founded in 1996 as Treyarch Inventions and was acquired by Activision in 2001. In 2005, Gray Matter Studios was merged into Treyarch. As part of the 2007 Leipzig Games Convention, Activision announced that Treyarch would be one of three developers behind their first James Bond-based game, ''007: Quantum of Solace''. Leipzig Games Convention
The Games Convention (GC), sometimes called the Leipzig Games Convention, was an annual video game event held in Leipzig, Germany, first held in 2002. Besides video games, the event also covers Infotainment, Hardware, and Edutainment. Its concept was created by the ''Leipziger Messe'' (Leipzig Fair) in cooperation with ''Bundesverband für Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware'' (German Federal Association for Entertainment Software) amongst others. The 2010 Gamescon was held August 18 to August 22. With 183,000 visitors, 2,600 journalists, and 368 exhibitors from 25 countries in 2006, the Games Convention was the second biggest gaming event in the world, together with the Tokyo Game Show, later only superseded by Gamescom, which is also held in Germany. David Vonderhaar
David Vonderhaar, also known as Vahn, (born September 8, 1972) is an American video game developer and game designer. He is best known for his work on the ''Call of Duty Black Ops'' franchise. Career Vonderhaar began his career at Activision as a quality assurance tester, web designer and online manager for several titles. In 2006, he led the design of ''Call of Duty 3'' and several other ''Call of Duty'' titles developed by Treyarch. He designed the multiplayer systems for ''Call of Duty: Black Ops'' and ''Call of Duty: Black Ops II'', along with the campaign, multiplayer and free run modes for ''Call of Duty: Black Ops III''. Vonderhaar led the design systems for the campaign and multiplayer experiences of ''Call of Duty: Black Ops 4'', before transitioning to full-time development on Blackout after the campaign mode was cancelled. Bobby Kotick
Robert A. Kotick (born 1963) is an American businessman who served as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Activision Blizzard and its predecessor, Activision, from 1991 to 2023. He became the CEO of Activision through a hostile takeover during the prior year. Kotick engineered a merger between Activision and Vivendi Games during the late 2000s, which led to the creation of Activision Blizzard in 2008 and him being named the company's inaugural CEO. He has also served on several boards, including the Coca-Cola Company from 2012 to 2022 and Yahoo from 2003 to 2008.
