TransEuropa Ferries was a freight and passenger ferry company operating between Ramsgate, Kent, UK and Ostend, West Flanders, Belgium from 1998 to 2013, with three or more ships. The company suspended operations on 18 April 2013, and on 25 April 2013 the line filed to initiate bankruptcy procedures. History TransEuropa Shipping Lines d.o.o. Sally Line UK (sometimes referred to as Sally Ferries UK) was a British ferry operator on the English Channel and North Sea. History Sally Line was founded in 1981 by Michael Kingshott as a subsidiary of the Finland-based Rederi Ab Sally, and initially marketed as Sally Viking Line, with a livery that was nearly identical with that of Viking Line, a Baltic Sea ferry consortium of which Sally was a member. MV Star Fighter (2014)
MV ''Star Fighter'' was a freight ferry that was previously operated by TransEuropa Ferries but was laid up in April 2013 after TEF went bankrupt. She was later sold and renamed ''Ardenia''. In 2014 she was registered to Kosilio Shipping of Limassol, Cyprus and was renamed ''Star Fighter'' along with her former fleet mate ''Larks'', which was renamed ''Lucky Star''. She then departed Piraeus for Limassol in early November where she was laid up following her name change. She was scrapped at Alang, India, in December 2016. History The ship was launched for Townsend Thoresen as the ''European Enterprise'' in 1977. Townsend Thoresen was absorbed by P&O European Ferries in 1987 and the same year the vessel was renamed ''European Endeavour'' by the new owners. In 1996 P&O European Ferries transferred ''European Endeavour'' to P&O European Ferries' Irish Sea operation. MS ''Isle of Innisfree'' is a passenger and Roll-on/roll-off, car ferry operated by Irish Ferries between Rosslare Europort, Rosslare and Pembroke Dock. Originally built at Boelwerf as the ''Prins Filip'' originally sailing between Port of Dover, Dover and Ostend, later between Ostend and Port of Ramsgate, Ramsgate, she has since 1997 operated for a variety of companies. Design The ''Isle of Innisfree'' is the only one of her class. She was ordered by the Belgian state-owned Regie voor Maritiem Transport in response to the anticipated opening of the Channel Tunnel.
