Trancers (film Series)
''Trancers'' is an American Action film, action-science fiction film Media franchise, series started in 1984 in film, 1984 by Empire Pictures, and continued by Full Moon Features. All but the most recent film star Tim Thomerson as Jack Deth, with the latest using stock footage from previous films. The series consists of six feature films, one short film and two comic book miniseries. Plot Jack Deth is a cop in the 23rd century who travels back in time to 1985 to attempt to stop the creation of Trancers, an army of zombie-like humans for the first three movies. In films ''4'' and ''5'', an accident in the time machine causes Deth to be transported to a parallel world, the Land of Orpheus, to continue the fight against Trancers. Biff Manard (c. 1943 – May 19, 2014) was an American actor. Background Born in either 1939 or 1943 according to various sources, Manard appeared in several movies and made guest spots on popular TV shows for many decades, such as Officer Michael Francis Murphy on ''The Flash'', but he is perhaps best known for his role as "Hap" Ashby in the low budget science-fiction adventure '' Trancers'', in a supporting role as a washed up baseball player, who is targeted by a psychic assassin from the future. Art LaFleur
Art LaFleur (September 9, 1943 – November 17, 2021) was an American character actor and acting coach. Life and career LaFleur was born in Gary, Indiana. He played football in 1962 as a redshirt at the University of Kentucky under Coach Charlie Bradshaw as chronicled in a 2007 book, ''The Thin Thirty''. He was a sportscaster on ESPN and on CBS.
