Peter Fendi
Peter Fendi (4 September 1796 – 28 August 1842) was an Austrian court painter, portrait and genre painter, engraver, and lithographer. He was one of the leading artists of the Biedermeier period. About Peter Fendi was born in Vienna on 4 September, 1796, to Joseph and Elizabeth Fendi. His father was a schoolmaster. He fell from a changing table as an infant, an accident which caused irreparable damage to his spine. Fendi demonstrated a talent for drawing from childhood. He was admitted to the St. Anna's Academy of Fine Art in 1810 at the age of thirteen, where he studied for three years under , Hubert Maurer and Johann Baptist von Lampi the Elder. Fendi met Joseph Barth, an art collector and the personal ophthalmologist of Joseph II, and through Barth's connections to other influential artists, in 1818 Fendi found a job at the Imperial Gallery of Coins and Antiquities, where he worked as a draughtsman and engraver. The Austrian Basketball Bundesliga (in German: Österreichische Basketball Bundesliga) was the top men's professional basketball league in Austria. Until the 2004–05 season, the league was known as the A-Liga (A-League) and then until the 2008–09 season it was called the Österreichische Basketball Bundesliga (ÖBL). From 2008 to 2019, it was named the Admiral Basketball League, after the league's main sponsor, Admiral Sportwetten. In 2019, the competition was replaced by the Austrian Basketball Superliga. Tribuswinkel - Schloss
Tribuswinkel is a town and cadastral community in the district of Baden in Lower Austria in northeast Austria. Since 1972, it is part of the Municipality of Traiskirchen. History The oldest historical mention of Tribuswinkel is from the 12th century with a mention of "Jubort de Tribanswinchele" in 1136 in the founding charter of the Heiligenkreuz Abbey. In 1251, a watermill, running along the Badener Mühlbach (mill river) is mentioned and from the middle ages up until the 19th century, there were at least 4 mills in Tribuswinkel. 1359, Wolfgang von Winden bought the town of Tribuswinkel. Battle Of Vienna
The Battle of Vienna took place at Kahlenberg Mountain near Vienna on 1683 after the city had been besieged by the Ottoman Empire for two months. The battle was fought by the Holy Roman Empire (led by the Habsburg monarchy) and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, both under the command of King John III Sobieski, against the Ottomans and their vassal and tributary states. The battle marked the first time the Commonwealth and the Holy Roman Empire had cooperated militarily against the Ottomans.
