The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing competitions which were introduced in 2005 by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to expand cycling around the world. The five circuits (representing the continents of Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania) are ranked below the UCI World Tour. UCI Africa Tour Winners There is a rolling ranking for individuals and countries (the total of the top eight ranked riders of the nation), for which points can be won in all UCI road events, regardless of where the races take place. Egan Arley Bernal Gómez (born 13 January 1997) is a Colombian professional cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . In 2019 he won the Tour de France, becoming the first Latin American rider to do so, and the youngest winner since 1909. At the 2021 Giro d'Italia, Bernal took his second Grand Tour win. The (Spanish for ''Tour of Colombia'') is an annual cycling road race, run over many stages throughout different regions in Colombia and sometimes Venezuela and Ecuador during the first days of August. It is organized by the Colombian Cycling Federation, and is currently held as a category 2.2 event on the UCI America Tour. History The first was held in 1951 as an idea of Englishman Donald W. Raskin and a few of his friends, emulating the European Tour de France. It was a 1,233 kilometers race which was divided in 10 stages which included three rest days. Thirty-five cyclists lined up for the race and of which thirty finished the race. The first champion of was Efraín Forero Triviño who won seven stages of the race. The Vuelta a Colombia Femenina is an annual women's cycling road race, run over many stages in Colombia. The first event in 2016 was classed as an amateur category event, whereas the 2017 event was given a UCI 2.2 category. Colombian Ana Sanabria has won the race on three occasions, the most of any rider. History The idea for a Vuelta a Colombia Femenina had been considered for many years by the Colombian Cycling Federation, who organised the men's Vuelta a Colombia event.
