Tinman Songs
Paul David Dakeyne (born 30 January 1961), known by his stage name Tinman, is an English people, English house music record producer, producer/remixer from Kingston upon Hull, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. In 1994, his single (music), single "Eighteen Strings" (also written as "18 Strings") became an international nightclub, club hit. It was rumoured that the original bootleg recording of "Eighteen Strings" contained a Sampling (music), sample of the riff from "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana (band), Nirvana, and that the usage of the sample was disallowed, therefore it was reproduced for commercial release. However, the riffs from the bootleg and commercial release were both produced by Dakeyne. The song was a Top 10 hit in the UK Singles Chart. In addition to this commercial success, Dakeyne also remixed many tracks for Disco Mix Club, DMC which were released on a "DJ Only" basis. "I Got You (I Feel Good)" is a song by the American singer James Brown. First recorded for the 1964 album '' Out of Sight'' and then released in an alternate take as a single in 1965 and included on the compilation album of the same name, it was his highest-charting song on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and is arguably his best-known recording. In 2013, the 1965 recording was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Description "I Got You (I Feel Good)" is a twelve-bar blues with a brass-heavy instrumental arrangement similar to James Brown's previous hit, " Papa's Got a Brand New Bag". It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore radio, offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. Disco Mix Club
The DMC World DJ Championships is an annual DJ competition founded by the Disco Mix Club (DMC) which began in 1985. It has been described as a "pre-eminent competitive DJ event". History Competitors are each given 6 minutes to perform, with winners selected at the end. Championships were sponsored internationally by Technics, but in 2010 Technics was replaced by Serato and Rane. Since 2011, the vinyl emulation software Serato Scratch Live can be used during the competition in addition to traditional vinyl. The first championship, held in the London Hippodrome in 1985, was won by Londoner Roger Johnson. From 1992 to 1994 American DJ Qbert dominated the competition, until being asked to step down in order to "level the playing field".
