''The Voice of the Philippines'' is a Television in the Philippines, Philippine television reality singing competition that aired on ABS-CBN, and is based on the Dutch television series ''The Voice of Holland''. The show premiered on June 15, 2013 and was hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Robi Domingo. Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, Lea Salonga, and apl.de.ap serve as the four coaches and the judging panel of the show. The show had aired two seasons and had produced two winners: Mitoy Yonting and Jason Dy. It is the fourth national franchise in the Southeast Asia, Southeast Asian region after The Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam, The Voice Thailand, Thailand, and The Voice Indonesia, Indonesia. Based on the Dutch television series '' The Voice Kids'', it is a spin-off of ''The Voice of the Philippines''. Jason Dy
Jason James Desiata Dy (born June 19, 1990) is a Filipino people, Filipino singer, songwriter, musician and occasional actor. He is best known as the winner of the The Voice of the Philippines season 2, second season of ''The Voice of the Philippines''. Dy was invited onstage by David Foster to perform with him during his HitMan tour at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Manila, August 18, 2015. Dy sang "I Have Nothing" with Foster on piano. Dy's eponymous album, Jason Dy, was released by MCA Universal on September 4, 2015. "Caught in that Feeling", "Milagro", and "Walang Iwanan" were released as singles. Mitoy Yonting
Michael Yonting (born January 5, 1970), more popularly known by his screen name Mitoy Yonting, is a Filipino singer, comedian, actor, and lead vocalist for The Draybers. Yonting rose to fame after winning the first season of ''The Voice of the Philippines'' in 2013. Background Yonting was born on January 5, 1970, and is from Calasiao, Pangasinan. His interest in music started at age 13 when he would listen to the radio and make his own singing routines. In high school, he competed in several local singing competitions.
