The Holocaust In Belarus
The Holocaust saw the systematic extermination of Jews living in Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, Byelorussia during its German occupation of Byelorussia during World War II, occupation by Nazi Germany in World War II. Before the construction of the Extermination Camps in Poland, the Holocaust was to be carried out in Belarus and the Baltic states using large gassing installations and transport by boats on the waterways rather than by trains. Although the Extermination Camps were eventually established in occupied Poland it is estimated that roughly 800,000 Belarusians, Belarusian Jews (or about 90% of the Jewish population of Belarus) were murdered. However, other estimates place the number of Jews killed between 500,000 and 550,000 (about 80% of the History of the Jews in Belarus, Belarusian Jewish population). Jewish Bolshevism, also Judeo–Bolshevism, is an antisemitic and anti-communist conspiracy theory that claims that the Russian Revolution of 1917 was a Jewish plot and that Jews controlled the Soviet Union and international communist movements, often in furtherance of a plan to destroy Western civilization. It was one of the main Nazi beliefs that served as an ideological justification for the German invasion of the Soviet Union and the Holocaust. Reichskommissariat Ukraine
The ''Reichskommissariat Ukraine'' (RKU; ) was an administrative entity of the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories of Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1944. It served as the German civilian occupation regime in the Ukrainian SSR, and parts of the Byelorussian SSR, Russian SFSR, and eastern Poland during the Eastern Front of World War II. ''Ukraine'' was established after the early success of the ''Wehrmacht''s Operation Barbarossa from territory under the military administration of Army Group South Rear Area. ''Generalbezirk Weißruthenien'' (; ) was an administrative subdivision of the ''Reichskommissariat Ostland'' of Nazi Germany that covered western Belarus from 1941 to 1944. It served as the Nazi civilian administration for the German occupation of Belarus during World War II, and supervised the collaborationist Belarusian Central Council of Radasłaŭ Astroŭski. Einsatzgruppen Reports
The ''Einsatzgruppen'' Operational Situation Reports (OSRs), or ERM for the (plural: ''Ereignismeldungen''), were dispatches of the Nazi death squads (''Einsatzgruppen''), which documented the progress of the Holocaust behind the German–Soviet frontier in the course of Operation Barbarossa, during World War II. The extant reports were sent between June 1941 and April 1942 to the Chief of the Security Police and the SD () in Berlin, from the occupied eastern territories including modern-day Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, and the Baltic Countries.
