Team-up Comics
In superhero comic books, a team-up is a fictional crossover where two or more superheroes or superhero teams who usually do not appear together work together on a shared goal. Overview The first team-up between characters published in different comics from the same publisher was published in 1940 by the MLJ Comics. ''Pep Comics'' #4, by Harry Shorten and Irv Novick, featured a story with the Shield (Archie Comics), Shield, which was continued in ''Top Notch Comics'' #5, by Will Harr and Edd Ashe. In that comic, the Shield met the Wizard (Archie Comics), Wizard. Timely Comics would follow, with a team-up between Namor, Sub-Mariner and Human Torch (android), Human Torch. National Comics Publications took the team-up concept one step further and created the Justice Society of America, the first superhero group, composed of superheroes who starred their own comic books. Shield And Wizard
A shield is a piece of personal armour held in the hand, which may or may not be Strapped shield, strapped to the wrist or forearm. Shields are used to intercept specific attacks, whether from close-ranged weaponry like Spear, spears or long ranged projectiles such as arrows. They function as means of active blocks, as well as to provide passive protection by closing one or more lines of engagement during combat. Shields vary greatly in size and shape, ranging from large panels that protect the user's whole body to small models (such as the buckler) that were intended for hand-to-hand-combat use. Zigomar
''Zigomar'' was a Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav Adventure (genre), adventure comic strip about the masked hero of the same name, created by artist Nikola Navojev and writer Branko Vidić. Zigomar appeared in six stories published in comic magazine ''Mikijevo carstvo'' (''Mickey Mouse, Mickey's Kingdom'') from 1939 to 1941 and has been called one of the most notable titles of the "Golden Age of Serbian comics". Creation and publishing history Zigomar was originally created by artist Nikola Navojev, a white émigré, and writer Branko Vidić. The biggest influence on Navojev and Vidić was the Phantom, but the two were also influenced by other masked heroes, like Lone Ranger, which appeared in Yugoslav comic magazines during the 1930s. ''World's Finest Comics'' is an American comic book series published by DC Comics from 1941 to 1986. The series was initially titled ''World's Best Comics'' for its first issue; issue #2 (Summer 1941) switched to the more familiar name. Michael E. Uslan has speculated that this was because DC received a cease and desist letter from Better Publications, Inc., who had been publishing a comic book entitled ''Best Comics'' since November 1939. ''Marvel Team-Up'' is an American comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The series featured two or more Marvel characters in one story. The series was originally published from March 1972 through February 1985, and featured Spider-Man as the lead " team-up" character in all but ten of its 150 issues, and in six of its seven ''Annual''s. It was the first major ongoing spin-off series for Spider-Man, being preceded only by the short-lived '' The Spectacular Spider-Man'' magazine. ''Generations'' is a Limited series (comics), limited ten-issue Comics anthology, anthology comic book series published by Marvel Comics that ran from August to September 2017. Each issue, written and drawn by different creative teams, features a different team-up of a classic Marvel superhero with their Modern Age of Comic Books, Modern Age counterpart. ''Avenging Spider-Man'' is the title of an American comic book series that was published monthly by Marvel Comics from 2012 to 2013, featuring the adventures of the fictional superhero Spider-Man.
