Jerald And Sandra Tanner
Jerald Dee Tanner (June 1, 1938 – October 1, 2006) and Sandra McGee Tanner (born January 14, 1941) are American writers and researchers who publish archival and evidential materials about the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The Tanners founded the Utah Lighthouse Ministry (UTLM), whose stated mission is "to document problems with the claims of Mormonism and compare LDS doctrines with Christianity". As of 2025 Sandra Tanner continues to operate the ministry after Jerald's death in 2006. The physical Lighthouse Ministry bookstore closed in 2023. The Tanners, who are ex-Mormon, printed original versions of early Mormon writings and scripture in which they annotated and highlighted doctrinal changes, such as the rejection of Brigham Young's " Adam–God doctrine". They jointly published more than 40 books about many aspects of the LDS Church, primarily its history. Biographies Jerald Tanner was born in Provo, Utah, and was a fifth-generatio ...

Tanners (company)
Tanners Wines Ltd (also known as ''Tanners Wine Merchants'' or simply ''Tanners'') is a family-owned independent wine merchants company based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. History Tanners was established by William Tanner, a sea captain, hence the company’s logo of a ship’s decanter. Records exist of his voyages as far afield as Chile and Australia. The family were also well known breeders of Shropshire sheep and Hereford cattle. It appears that William Tanner was not the only Tanner in the alcohol trade in the mid- to late-1800s. For instance, the Winchester wine merchant partnership between F. A. Roberts and E. Tanner was dissolved in 1886. In 1884 and 1885, published listings for "John Tanner, wine and spirit merchant" as an authorized agent for South Molton, Southmolton appeared. In 1888, "Messrs. H. and E. Tanner, wine merchants" obtained a license for a new warehouse in Shrewsbury to replace their existing one. Tanners has acquired and incorporated other busine ...

Tanners' Bridge
The Tanners' Bridge () is an 18th-century Ottoman period stone footbridge located in Tirana, Albania. The bridge, built near the Tanners' Mosque, was once part of the ''Saint George Road'' that linked Tirana with the eastern highlands. The road was the route by which livestock and produce entered the city. The bridge crossed the Lanë stream near the area where butcher shops and leather workers were located. The bridge fell into disrepair when the Lanë was diverted in the 1930s. In the 1990s, the bridge was restored for use by pedestrians. History The Tanners' Bridge was part of the road that connected Tirana with Debar through Shëngjergj, also called ''Shëngjergj Road'' (). The road to Debar passed through Priskë e Madhe, Qafe Priskë, Domje, Shëngjergj, and further on it continued through Bizë, Martanesh, Zerqan and finally Debar. The road connected Tirana with the eastern highlands, and was mainly used by farmers to bring produce and livestock into the city. There ...

''The Tanners'' () is a 1907 novel by the Swiss writer Robert Walser. It follows the 20-year-old Simon Tanner and his family, as he struggles with dissatisfaction over a secure and orderly life and the high costs of rejecting basic human needs. It was Walser's first full-length novel. Leatherhead F
Leatherhead is a town in the Mole Valley district of Surrey, England, about south of Central London. The settlement grew up beside a ford on the River Mole, from which its name is thought to derive. During the late Anglo-Saxon period, Leatherhead was a royal vill and is first mentioned in the will of Alfred the Great in 880 AD. The first bridge across the Mole may have been constructed in around 1200 and this may have coincided with the expansion of the town and the enlargement of the parish church. For much of its history, Leatherhead was primarily an agricultural settlement, with a weekly market being held until the mid-Elizabethan era. The construction of turnpike roads in the mid-18th century and the arrival of the railways in the second half of the 19th century attracted newcomers and began to stimulate the local economy. Large-scale manufacturing industries arrived following the end of the First World War and companies with factories in the town included Ronson and ...
