The Taipei 101 (; stylized in all caps), formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a 508 m (1,667 ft), 101-story skyscraper in Taipei, Taiwan. It is owned by Taipei Financial Center Corporation. Xinyi District or Sinyi District is considered the financial district of Taipei, Taiwan. The district is also one of the shopping areas in Taipei, anchored by a number of department stores and malls. Daan District (or Da-an District, Da'an, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency District) is an important political, educational, commercial, residential and cultural district of Taipei, Taiwan. The name of the district means "great safety" or "great peace". Located in Northern Taiwan, it is known for having one of the highest real estate prices in Taipei and Asia in general. Chiang Wan-an ( Chinese: 蔣萬安; born Chang Wan-an; 26 December 1978), also known by his English name Wayne Chiang, is a Taiwanese politician and lawyer who has served as the mayor of Taipei since December 2022. A member of the Kuomintang (KMT), he is the youngest mayor in Taipei's history. Born to a prominent political family in Taipei, Chiang is the son of Chiang Hsiao-yen, who served as Chairman of the Kuomintang from 2008 to 2014. Special municipality, historically known as Yuan-controlled municipality, is a first-level administrative division unit in Taiwan. Xiangshan, Taipei
Xiangshan ( zh, t=象山), known in English as Elephant Mountain or Mount Elephant, is a mountain in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is close to the Taipei Metro Xiangshan Station. It is high and has a hiking trail to the peak, covering a distance of about . Taipei 101 can be seen from the trail. The Six Giant Rocks on the peak are a tourist attraction in Xiangshan, and there are platforms for photographers. Name "Xiangshan" means "Elephant Mountain" in Chinese. The Kuomintang (KMT) is a major political party in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
