The Swiss diaspora refers to Swiss people living abroad (, , , ), also referred to as "fifth Switzerland" (, , , ), alluding to the fourfold linguistic division within the country. New Glarus is a village in Green County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,266 at the 2020 census. It was founded in 1845 by immigrants from the canton of Glarus in eastern Switzerland, from which the village takes its name.
