Stephen Bishop (actor)
Stephen C. Bishop (born September 14, 1970) is an American actor and former baseball player. He was a regular cast member in the television series ''Being Mary Jane'' (2013–15), '' Imposters'' (2017–18) and '' Run the World'' (2021–23). Bishop also appeared in films '' Friday Night Lights'' (2004), ''Moneyball'' (2011), '' 'Til Death Do Us Part'' (2017) and ''Fatal Affair'' (2020). Baseball career Bishop attended the University of California, Riverside, where he played baseball for the Highlanders from 1991–1992. After college he signed a free agent contract with the Atlanta Braves and played in 20 games for the Idaho Falls Braves, Atlanta's affiliate in the Pioneer League in 1993. Stephen Bishop ( – 1857) was an American cave explorer and self-taught geologist known for being one of the first people to explore and map Mammoth Cave National Park, Mammoth Cave in the U.S. state of Kentucky. Mammoth Cave has been recognized as the List of longest caves, longest cave system in the world since 1972. Bishop's map of the cave, hand-drawn from memory off-site in 1842, was included in a book published in 1844 and was regarded as the authoritative map of the cave system for over four decades. Bishop was Slavery in the United States, enslaved and worked as a guide at Mammoth for approximately 19 years. He was freed by manumission the year before his death. Background Bishop was taken to Mammoth Cave in 1838 when he was 17 years old, by lawyer and enslaver Franklin Gorin, who had acquired ownership of Bishop as repayment for a debt stemming from the divorce of Bishop's possible father, white farmer Lowry Bishop. Stephen Kovacevich (born October 17, 1940) is an American classical pianist and conductor. He is particularly celebrated for his recordings of works by Beethoven, Bartók, and Schubert, and is known for technical skill, clarity of playing, and an intelligent approach to interpretation. The 2019 Louisiana gubernatorial election was held to elect the governor of Louisiana. Incumbent Democratic governor John Bel Edwards won re-election to a second term, defeating Republican businessman Eddie Rispone. Edwards became the first Democratic governor of Louisiana to win re-election to a second consecutive term in 44 years since Edwin Edwards (no relation) in 1975. It was the closest Louisiana gubernatorial election since 1979. This was the only Democratic-held governorship up for election in 2019 that Donald Trump won in the 2016 presidential election, and was the only statewide victory in 2019 for Democrats in Louisiana. Steven Bishop
The Predators are an Australian rock band formed in Brisbane in 2005. It comprises three of the original members of the rock group Powderfinger: Steven Bishop, Ian Haug, and John Collins, and Haug's fellow member of Far Out Corporation, Ross McLennan. As of 2023, they have released one EP, ''Pick Up the Pace'' (2006), and one full-length album, ''Everybody Loves'' (2021). History Early in Powderfinger's days, Bishop left the group for personal reasons, while Haug and Collins stayed on. Haug helped form the group Far Out Corporation in 1997, with singer/guitarist Grant McLennan and drummer Ross McLennan. In 2005, when Powderfinger went on hiatus, Haug and Collins reconnected with Bishop and began writing songs together.
