St Mark's Catholic School, Hounslow
St Mark's Catholic School is a co-educational Catholic secondary school and sixth form with academy status, having formerly been a voluntary aided school, situated in Hounslow, West London, England. St Mark’s is part of the Archdiocese of Westminster. History In 1936, Father Wilfred Musgrave, Parish Priest of Ss Michael and Martin's Church, suggested that a mixed Catholic secondary school should be built in Hounslow. His plan was suspended by the outbreak of the Second World War, but in 1952, a site was purchased at 106 Bath Road with a house, land, and an orchard. Musgrave died in 1955 and the project was transferred to his successor, Canon John Mackenzie. Building work commenced in 1958, funded by donations from local Catholics. The school, initially called Archbishop Myers Secondary, received its first 279 pupils on 10 May 1960, welcomed by Headteacher Patrick Boland and 11 staff. St Mark's Church School
St Mark's School is an independent Anglican co-educational school in Wellington, New Zealand for children aged from two (Early Childhood) to Year 8. The school is often seen on cricket match broadcasts from Basin Reserve. To its front is the modern, 1970s-era church building, the parish church to which the school is attached. A wooden church stood in its place prior to the 1970s redevelopment. Its first principal was Miss Annie Holm, who served the school until the 1940s, aided by her sister. The school's library is named after her. The Rev Ronald Kirby was another long-serving and influential principal, from 1971 to his death in 1982; the school's main block is named in his honour. The vicar of St. Mark's Church, Rev. Matthew Calder, taught Religious Education for all that time, and presided over Rev. Kirby's funeral; another block is named the Calder Block for him. St Mark's Church of England School, formerly known as St Mark's Church of England Primary School, is a Church of England all-through school in Shirley, Southampton, England. St Mark's was a primary school but was demolished and renovated by Morgan Sindall to form an all-through school. The project started in 2020. The all-through school was opened by Debbie Sellin, the Bishop of Southampton, in 2022 and was fully completed in 2023. It made history by becoming Southampton's first all-through school.
