Spring Stampede was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) List of NWA/WCW closed-circuit events and pay-per-view events, event from World Championship Wrestling (WCW) held in the month of April in 1994 and then from 1997 to 2000. As it was called Spring Stampede, the event was usually Cowboy/Wild West themed. Since 2001, WWE owns the rights to the Spring Stampede event. In 2014, all WCW pay-per-views were made available on the WWE Network. Spring Stampede (2000)
The 2000 Spring Stampede was the fifth and final Spring Stampede pay-per-view (PPV) List of NWA/WCW closed-circuit events and pay-per-view events, event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The event took place on April 16, 2000 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Spring Stampede would be the final wrestling pay-per-view to be held at this venue until Forbidden Door (2022), Forbidden Door in 2022. The event was notable due to the creation of a new WCW after Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo Reboot (fiction), rebooted the company by vacating all the championships and refreshing the WCW roster. Many tournaments occurred during the event for the vacated championships. Spring Stampede (1999)
The 1999 Spring Stampede was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) on April 11, 1999 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. It was the fourth event in the Spring Stampede chronology. In the main event, Diamond Dallas Page won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by defeating champion Ric Flair, Hollywood Hogan, Sting in a Four Corners match, with Randy Savage serving as the guest referee. On the undercard, Scott Steiner defeated Booker T to win the vacant WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, Goldberg defeated Kevin Nash while Horsemen Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko defeated Raven and Perry Saturn. The show was very well received by critics and wrestling fans alike, particularly the Juventud Guerrera vs Blitzkrieg opening match; it is also considered by many wrestling fans and critics as the last well received pay-per-view that WCW produced. The 1997 Spring Stampede was the second Spring Stampede pay-per-view (PPV) event scripted and produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The event took place on April 6, 1997 from the Tupelo Coliseum in Tupelo, Mississippi. The main event was a no disqualification match between Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page, which Page won. Other featured matches on the undercard were a Four Corners match between Lex Luger, The Giant, Booker T and Stevie Ray. What was originally scheduled to be a tag team match between The Outsiders and The Steiner Brothers for the WCW World Tag Team Championship, became a singles match between Kevin Nash and Rick Steiner as a result of Scott Hall no-showing the event. The 1994 Spring Stampede was the inaugural Spring Stampede pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The event took place on April 17, 1994, from the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois (though it was billed as Chicago). The main event was a standard wrestling match between Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The match ended in a double-pin, resulting in Flair retaining the title. However, the Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel stripped Flair of the title and booked a rematch for the title between Flair and Steamboat on the May 14 episode of '' Saturday Night'', which Flair won. Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett (born July 14, 1967) is an American professional wrestler and professional wrestling promoter. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he both wrestles and serves as Director of Business Development. He is also the founder of the revived Acclaim Entertainment.
