Spas, Kalush Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Spas () is a village in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine, located in Kalush Raion. It is the administrative centre of Spas rural hromada. Its population is 1,820 (). History The village of Spas was first mentioned in 1469. Two wooden churches were built in the village in the 18th century, one of which (the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, built in 1752) has survived to the present day. In 1939, according to Volodymyr Kubijovyč, the village had a population of 2,750; 2,650 of these people were Ukrainians, 40 were Polish people, 40 were Jews, and the remaining 20 were Germans and of other ethnicities. A monument to five Ukrainian Insurgent Army soldiers who were killed in the village was erected in 2019. Spas (, ) is a village ( selo) in Sambir Raion, Lviv Oblast, of Western Ukraine. It belongs to Staryi Sambir urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The total area of the village is 0.62 km2, and the population is around 493 people. The local government is administered by the Tershivska village council. Geography The village is located in the mountainous terrain of the Staryi Sambir Raion along the left (west) bank of the Dniester River. This area is also known as the Carpathian Foothills. The village is located from the district center of Staryi Sambir along Highway H13, which runs from Lviv–Sambir to Uzhhorod. Spas () is a matzoon-based soup. It is a traditional dish in Armenia. Besides matzoon, the main ingredient are herbs, and hulled wheat berries (i.e. with husks removed). Flour, and an egg or egg yolk is included, to prevent the matzoon from curdling. Herbs, such as coriander, thyme, parsley, and sometimes mint, are added as well. Butter and regular onions, or fried onions are also often added to the soup for a richer taste. It can also be served with meatballs. Traditionally there are 3 major variations. The first variation uses rice instead of wheat berries , the second uses bulgur instead of wheat berries, and the third uses barley instead of wheat berries. The Franchi SPAS-12 is a combat shotgun manufactured by Italian firearms company Franchi from 1979 to 2000. The SPAS-12 is a dual-mode shotgun, adjustable for semi-automatic or pump-action operation. The SPAS-12 was sold to military and police users worldwide, as well as on the civilian market. The appearance and intended purpose of the SPAS-12 initially led to its "military" designation as a combat shotgun. The SPAS-12 was designed from the ground up as a rugged military shotgun, and it was named the ''Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun''. In 1990, Franchi renamed the shotgun the ''Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun'', which allowed continued sales to the United States as a limited-magazine-capacity, fixed-stock model until 1994. Following the United States Federal Assault Weapons Ban, imports of SPAS-12 shotguns to the United States were stopped. Spas () is a small village (or selo) in the Lviv Raion (or district), of Lviv Oblast (province), which is in the western part of Ukraine. It is also part of the Kamianka-Buzka urban hromada, one of the many hromadas (analogous to a municipality) of Ukraine. The population of the village is just about 207 people, and local government is administered by Streptivska village council. Geography Spas is located along the western bank of the Bug River, which flows north/northwest into the Vistula River in Poland. The Franchi SPAS-15 is a dual-mode 12 gauge combat shotgun manufactured by the Italian company Luigi Franchi S.P.A. Design The weapon is based on the SPAS-12, and has similar pump-action/ semi-automatic firing modes. In semi-automatic mode, a gas piston drives a bolt carrier and rotating bolt. In pump-action mode, the same components are driven by sliding the fore-end backwards. Pump-action mode is required to reliably fire low-pressure (less lethal) ammunition such as tear gas rounds or less-lethal bean bags. Switching between firing modes is done by pressing a button above the foregrip, and sliding the foregrip slightly forwards or backwards. The barrel is chrome lined and features screw-in choke tubes. Serbian Patriotic Alliance
The Serbian Patriotic Alliance (, abbr. SPAS; ) was a right-wing populist political party in Serbia. It was led by Aleksandar Šapić, the president of the New Belgrade municipality. The legal predecessor of SPAS was the Movement of United Local Self-Governments (PULS), founded in 2010. PULS took part in several right-wing coalitions during its existence. Shortly after the 2018 Belgrade City Assembly election, it merged with the civic group "Aleksandar Šapić – Mayor" to form SPAS. It later participated in the 2020 parliamentary election, winning 3.83% of the popular vote and 11 seats in the National Assembly. SPAS served as a part of the Serbian Progressive Party-led government until its dissolution.
