Smokepurpp
Omar Jeffery Pineiro (born May 15, 1997), known professionally as Smokepurpp, is an American rapper. He first became known in the SoundCloud rap scene for his 2017 single "Audi (song), Audi", which received RIAA certification, platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In March of that year, he signed with Alamo Records, Alamo and Interscope Records to release the song and his debut mixtape for which it served as lead single, ''Deadstar (mixtape), Deadstar'' (2017), the following September. It peaked at number 42 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, while his debut studio album and the mixtape's sequel, ''Deadstar 2'' (2019) narrowly entered the chart. "Audi" is a song by American rapper Smokepurpp. It was released on May 17, 2017, as the lead single from his debut mixtape '' Deadstar''. The track is considered one of his breakout singles, along with "Ski Mask". Music video The music video for the track was released on May 18, 2017, on the WorldStarHipHop channel. As of March 2025, the video has over 70 million views. Critical reception The track received generally positive reviews from music critics. ''Deadstar 2'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Smokepurpp. It was released on December 13, 2019, by Alamo Records and Interscope Records. The album features guest appearances from frequent collaborator Lil Pump, as well as Denzel Curry, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Skies, Moneybagg Yo and Trippie Redd. Smokepurpp describes it as his "best body of work." Background Smokepurpp released his debut commercial mixtape '' Deadstar'' in September 2017. He announced its sequel ''Deadstar 2'' in mid-2018. The initial track listing showed Lil Pump and Gunna as featured artists. The album was delayed and sometimes even scrapped multiple times, due to being leaked online before its release. A track that was originally set to be on the album has also leaked, titled "No Problem" and features Kanye West.
