Slitheen Novels
The Slitheen are a fictional family of Raxacoricofallapatorians, massive, bipedal extraterrestrials, from the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who.'' They are adversaries of the Ninth Doctor and later Sarah Jane Smith. The Slitheen are a family of egg-laying calcium-based aliens from the fictional planet Raxacoricofallapatorius. Though their family name is Slitheen, their species is named Raxacoricofallapatorians. The Slitheen are instinctive hunters, who are trained from a young age to be ruthless criminals whose main motivation is profit. They were convicted in their home world and are not willing to return to their planet in fear of receiving a death sentence. The Slitheen first appeared in the 2005 series episodes "Aliens of London" and "World War Three", and subsequently recur in later episodes of both ''Doctor Who'' and the spin-off series ''The Sarah Jane Adventures''. ''Doctor Who'' is a British science fiction television series broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The series, created by Sydney Newman, C. E. "From Raxacoricofallapatorius with Love" is a special one-off episode from ''Doctor Who'' spin-off ''The Sarah Jane Adventures''. It was the first ''Doctor Who'' spin-off to produce a special for Comic Relief and was broadcast on 13 March 2009 as part of Red Nose Day 2009. Plot Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde and Rani are talking to Mr Smith when suddenly there is a breach in the attic. Mr Smith identifies the disturbance as a teleport and a diplomat named Ranius (played by comedian Ronnie Corbett) appears. He states that he represents the Galactic Alliance and gives them all gifts for defending the Earth so valiantly. He then pulls up a chair to talk to them and experiences apparent flatulence. Sarah Jane, Clyde, Rani and Luke all notice the similarity of the constant flatulence with that of a Slitheen wearing a skin suit, which Ranius denies quite strongly. "Jump (For My Love)" is an electropop song by American girl group the Pointer Sisters, released on April 11, 1984, as the third single from their tenth studio album, '' Break Out'' (1983). The song hit the top ten on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, R&B, and Dance charts, and it was the best-selling American dance single of 1984, sold as a trio of songs including "I Need You" and "Automatic".
