Skye Sweetnam
Skye Alexandra Sweetnam (born May 5, 1988) is a Canadian Rock music, rock and Heavy metal music, metal singer. She first entered the music industry in 2003 with the release of her debut single "Billy S." More than a year later, her debut studio album, ''Noise from the Basement'', was released along with the singles "Tangled Up in Me" and "Number One (Skye Sweetnam song), Number One". Sweetnam is also known for her singing work as Barbie in ''The Barbie Diaries''. In 2006, she was nominated for a Juno Award for New Artist of the Year. Her second studio album, ''Sound Soldier'', was released in 2007. She is currently the lead singer of the band Sumo Cyco; upon joining the band, she took the stage name Sever. "Part of Your World" is a song written by lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken for Disney's animated feature film '' The Little Mermaid'' (1989). Performed by American actress and singer Jodi Benson in the titular role as Ariel, a mermaid princess, "Part of Your World" is a power ballad in which the main character expresses her strong desire to become human; its lyrics use placeholder names in lieu of several human-related terms that would be unfamiliar to a mermaid. The Onyx Hotel Tour was the fifth concert tour by American entertainer Britney Spears. It showcased her fourth studio album, ''In the Zone'' (2003), and visited North America and Europe. A tour to promote the album was announced in December 2003. Its original name was the In the Zone Tour, but Spears was sued for trademark infringement and banned from using the name. Spears felt inspired to create a show with a hotel theme which she later mixed with the concept of an onyx stone. The stage, inspired by Broadway musicals, was less elaborate than her previous tours.
