The Shire of Three Springs is a Local government areas of Western Australia, local government area in the Mid West (Western Australia), Mid West region of Western Australia, about north of the state capital Perth. The Shire covers an area of , and its seat of government is the town of Three Springs, Western Australia, Three Springs. History The Three Springs Road District was constituted on 2 November 1928 from parts of the neighbouring road districts of Shire of Mingenew, Mingenew, Shire of Perenjori, Perenjori and Shire of Carnamah, Carnamah. It held its first meeting on 2 February 1929, with E. Hunt as its first chairman. On 1 July 1961, it became a shire under the ''Local Government Act 1960'', which reformed all remaining road districts into shires. On 18 September 2009, the Shires of Mingenew, Three Springs, Shire of Morawa, Morawa and Shire of Perenjori, Perenjori announced their intention to amalgamate. Mid West (Western Australia)
The Mid West region is one of the nine regions of Western Australia. It is a sparsely populated region extending from the west coast of Western Australia, about north and south of its administrative centre of Geraldton and inland to east of Wiluna in the Gibson Desert.
