Sharif Family
The Sharif family is a List of Pakistani political families, Pakistani political family of Kashmiris in Punjab, Punjabi–Kashmiri background. Playing a prominent role in Politics of Pakistan, Pakistani politics, especially in Punjab, Pakistan, Punjab, since late-1980s, the family held the leadership of the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad, Islamic Democratic Alliance; and has held the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Muslim League-N for most of the party's existence. Punjabi Language
Punjabi, sometimes spelled Panjabi, is an Indo-Aryan languages, Indo-Aryan language native to the Punjab region of Pakistan and India. It is one of the most widely spoken native languages in the world, with approximately 150 million native speakers. Abbas Sharif
Mian Abbas Sharif (4 January 1953 – 11 January 2013) was a Pakistani politician and Tablighi Jamaat missionary who was the Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 1993 to 1997. He was the younger brother of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif. Early life Abbas was born on 4 January 1953 in Lahore, Pakistan into the Punjabi-speaking Sharif family. His father, Muhammad Sharif, was an upper-middle-class businessman and industrialist whose family had emigrated from Anantnag in Kashmir for business, and eventually settled in the village of Jati Umra in Amritsar district, Punjab, at the beginning of the twentieth century. Tehmina Durrani (; born 18 February 1953) is a Pakistani author known for her bestselling book My Feudal Lord, an artist, and a women's and children's rights activist. She is the current spouse of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif since March 2024. Sharif has previously served in the post from 10 April 2022 to 13 August 2023. Maryam Nawaz
Maryam Nawaz Sharif (born 28 October 1973) is a Pakistani politician who has served as the 20th chief minister of Punjab since 26 February 2024. She is the first woman to hold the position of chief minister in Pakistan. Born to former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif in 1973, she began her political career in 2012 when she took charge of the election campaign for the 2013 Pakistani general election. Following the election, she was appointed as the chairperson of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme in 2013.
