Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe
Asociația Club Sportiv Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe, commonly known as Sepsi OSK (), Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe (), or simply Sepsi, is a Romanian professional Association football, football Club (organization), club based in Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna County, that competes in the Liga II. Founded in 2011, it achieved promotion to the top tier in six years by quickly climbing through the Romanian football league system, Romanian league system. Sepsi thus became the first team from Covasna—a county with a majority of Székelys, Székely ethnics—to play in the Liga I. Since its promotion, it qualified for three Cupa României finals, claiming the trophy in the 2021–22 Cupa României, 2021–22 and 2022–23 Cupa României, 2022–23 seasons. As cup holders, Sepsi also participated in the 2022 Supercupa României, 2022 and the 2023 Supercupa României, winning both. Gazeta Sporturilor () is a Romanian sports website, originally founded in 1924 as a daily newspaper. It was the third-oldest daily newspaper in Europe, with 99 years of uninterrupted publication, before issuing its last edition on 31 October 2023. Gazeta Sporturilor focuses primarily on association football, but also covers most sports events related to Romania, as well as the most important international sports news. Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1 and officially known as SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Romania and the highest level of the Romanian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 Divizia A, 1909–10 campaign, being currently 25th in UEFA's UEFA coefficient#League coefficient, league coefficient ranking list. The 2016–17 Liga II was the 77th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 6 August 2016. A total of 20 teams contested the league. It was the first Liga II season with a single series. The season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first two teams promoted to Liga I at the end of the season and the third-placed team played a play-off match against the 12th-placed team from Liga I. The last five teams relegated to Liga III. 2014–15 Liga III
The 2014–15 Liga III season is the 59th season of the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 30 August. There is a new system, with five series of 13/14 teams that will play a regular season as a round-robin tournament. At the end of the regular season, the first team from each series will be promoted to Liga II. The last two teams from the series with 14 teams and the last one from the series with 13 teams will relegate to Liga IV. From the 12th placed teams, another three are relegated. To determine these teams, separate standings are computed, using only the games played against clubs ranked 1st through 11th. Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system and is run in all 41 counties and in the Municipality of Bucharest.
