Myanmar Girl Guides is the national Guiding organization of Myanmar. The organization was founded in 2014 and is currently an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It serves 29,067 members (as of 2014). History The ''Union of Burma Girl Guides Association'' () was the organization for Girl Guides in Burma. Boy Scouts and Girl Guides in Burma merged in 1962 to form the coeducational Union of Burma Boy Scouts and Girl Guides (UBBSGG), which was active until 1964, reaching a membership high-point of 93,562. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS ) is a global association that supports Girl Guides, female-oriented and female-only Guiding and Scouting organizations in 153 countries. World Organization Of The Scout Movement
The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM ) is the largest and, after the Order of World Scouts (formed in 1911), is the second-oldest international organization in the Scout Movement, having been established in 1922. It has 176 members. These members are national scout organizations that founded WOSM or have subsequently been recognised by WOSM, which collectively have around 43 million participants.
