Saimbeyli
Saimbeyli, alternatively known as Hadjin ( hy, Հաճըն, translit=Hajěn), is a township and a district in the Adana Province, Turkey. The township is located at the Taurus mountains of Cilicia region, 157 km north of the city of Adana. The district a population of 14,764 as December 2019. Saimbeyli is on the Göksu river (one of the sources of the Seyhan, in a valley between the forested mountains of Dibek and Bakır. There is a pass through the mountains from here to Kayseri and the valley is watered by many mountain streams. History and Monuments The area probably has the foundations of Hittite settlements. There is no evidence at present that it was occupied in the Roman period, but it seems likely. The fortress of Saimbeyli may be the medieval ''Badimon'' or perhaps the castle of ''Berdus'', which appears on the Coronation List of King Levon I of Cilician Armenia in A.D. 1198/99. Nor Hachn
Nor Hachn ( hy, Նոր Հաճն), is a town and urban municipal community in the Kotayk Province of Armenia, founded in 1953. The town is located on the right bank of Hrazdan River, to the west of the Arzni canyon, on the immediate proximity of the Arzni-Shamiram canal. As per the 2011 census, Nor Hachn had a population of 9,307. According to the 2016 official estimate, the population is around 8,400. Etymology The town is named Nor Hachn, meaning ''New Haçin'', in memory of the Armenian town of '' Haçin'' in Cilicia, where a group of local fedayis organized a military resistance against the Turkish forces in 1920. Prior to the 1915 Armenian genocide, Haçin had a population of 35,000, of which 30,000 were Armenians and the rest were Turks. Adana Province ( tr, ) is a province of Turkey located in central Cilicia. With a population of 2.26 million, it is the sixth most populous province in Turkey. The administrative seat of the province is the city of Adana, home to 79% of the residents of the province. It is also closely affiliated with other Cilician provinces of Mersin, Osmaniye, and Hatay. Feke
Feke ( hy, Վահկա or Vahka) is a small city and a district in Adana Province of Turkey, 122 km from the city of Adana, 620m above sea-level, a small town on attractive forested mountainside. The current mayor is Ahmet Sel ( MHP). History The area was settled by the Hittites in the 16th century BC, the Persians in the 6th century BC, conquered by Alexander the Great in 333 BC, and later passed into the hands of the Romans and Byzantines.
