Club Social y Deportivo Sacachispas is a professional football club based in Chiquimula, Guatemala. The team plays in the Primera División, the second tier of Guatemalan football. Their home stadium is the ''Estadio Las Victorias''. The club has also played in the '' Liga Mayor'', having reached their best position in the 1995–96 season, when they were runners-up. Alejandro Javier Larrea (born 5 December 1966) is a Uruguayan professional football manager and former player who played as a forward. He is the current manager of Progreso. Omar E. López (born January 3, 1977) is a Venezuelan professional baseball coach and former player, scout, and manager in Minor League Baseball (MiLB). He is the bench coach for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB), a role in which he has served since 2024. López has worked in the Astros' organization since 1999. Yony Flores (born 16 February 1983 in Guatemala City) is a former Guatemalan football defender who last played for CSD Municipal in the Liga Nacional de Guatemala. Ismael Cerna (1856–1901) was a Guatemalan poet. Biography Cerna was born in Chiquimula in 1856. He graduated as a Bachelor of Philosophy and later in medicine and law.
