The Robinson family are a fictional family from the Australian television soap opera ''Neighbours''. The family were created by Reg Watson and introduced in the first episode of the serial, broadcast on 18 March 1985. The family initially consisted of Jim Robinson (Neighbours), Jim Robinson (Alan Dale), his mother-in-law Helen Daniels (Anne Haddy), and his four children Paul Robinson (Neighbours), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Julie Martin (Neighbours), Julie Martin (Vikki Blanche), Scott Robinson (Neighbours), Scott Robinson (Darius Perkins; Jason Donovan), and Lucy Robinson (Neighbours), Lucy Robinson (Kylie Flinker; Sasha Close; Melissa Bell (actor), Melissa Bell). Reg Watson
Reginald James Watson (27 August 1926 – 8 October 2019) was an Australian television producer and screenwriter and executive. Watson was executive producer on the British soap opera ''Crossroads (British TV series), Crossroads'' and created Australian media exports serials such as ''Prisoner (TV series), Prisoner'', ''Neighbours'', ''The Young Doctors'' and ''Sons and Daughters (Australian TV series), Sons and Daughters''. Career Watson was born on 27 August 1926, and grew up on a sugar farm in Queensland. He began his career as an actor at the age of sixteen on Australian radio firstly as an actor and then as an announcer, before moving to the UK in 1955. He was soon hired by Associated TeleVision, ATV and in 1956, joined Ned Sherrin and Noele Gordon in Birmingham to establish the base of ATV Midlands where his job was as head of Light Entertainment. Stefan Dennis
Stefan Dennis (born 30 October 1958) is an Australian actor and singer best known for playing the role of cold-hearted and ruthless businessman Paul Robinson in the soap opera ''Neighbours'' from its first episode on 18 March 1985. He departed ''Neighbours'' in 1992 before returning for a short stint in 1993. He then returned in late 2004 and will once again depart in 2025 when the show films its final episode. During his time away from ''Neighbours'' he was a cast member of Scottish soap opera '' River City'' produced and set in Glasgow, Scotland. Anne Haddy
Patricia Anne Haddy (5 October 1930 – 6 June 1999), credited also as Anne Hardy, was an Australian actress, television presenter and voice artist, who worked in various facets of the industry including radio, stage and television. She was married to actor and scriptwriter James Condon. Haddy appeared in numerous television films early in her career, but was better known for her television soap opera/serials roles, starting with numerous roles in '' Crawford Production'' serials, she had a stint in cult series ''Prisoner'', as Alice Hemmings and a permanent role in '' Sons and Daughters'' as Rosie Andrews. Helen Daniels
Helen Daniels is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', portrayed by Anne Haddy. Following the death of Jim Robinson ( Alan Dale) in 1993, she remained the only original character played continuously by the same actor until her own death in 1997, making her the second longest-serving original character after her grandson Paul Robinson ( Stefan Dennis). Alan Dale
Alan Hugh Dale (born 6 May 1947) is a New Zealand actor. As a child, Dale enjoyed theatre and rugby. After retiring from the sport, he took on a number of occupations, before deciding to become a professional actor at age 27. Dale subsequently moved to Australia, where he played Dr. John Forrest in '' The Young Doctors'' from 1979 to 1982. Amy Williams (also Robinson) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', played by Zoe Cramond.
