Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 31.5 square miles (81.6 km2), all of it land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 1,364 people, 476 households, and 362 families residing in the town. The population density was 43.3 people per square mile (16.7/km2). There were 516 housing units at an average density of 16.4 per square mile (6.3/km2). Dallas College Richland Campus (often stylized as Richland or RLC) is a public community college in Dallas, Texas. The school was founded in 1972 and is part of Dallas College. It is the largest campus in the college, featuring about 20,000 students. Located on the old Jackson farm, the campus comprises including Thunderduck Lake. Awards and recognition In 2005, the Richland Campus became the first community college to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
