The list of current and past Rajya Sabha members from the Madhya Pradesh State. The state elects 11 member for a term of six years and these members indirectly elected by the state legislators of Madhya Pradesh using single transferable votes. Members sit for staggered six-year terms, with one third of the members retiring every two years. History of Rajya Sabha seats Earlier, since 1952, there were 12 seats from Madhya Pradesh, 6 seats from Madhya Bharat, 4 seats from Vindhya Pradesh state and 1 seat from Bhopal State to Rajya Sabha. After Constitution (Seventh Amendment) Act, 1956, there were 16 seats from Madhya Pradesh. After the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, 5 seats are allocated to Chhattisgarh state from Madhya Pradesh State, reducing its seats from 16 to 11 seats, since 15 November 2000. Dharmendra Pradhan
Dharmendra Pradhan (born 26 June 1969) is an Indian politician who has served as the Minister of Education since his appointment in July 2021. He has previously held the portfolios of Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (2017–2021), Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas (2014–2021), and Minister of Steel (2019–2021). He graduated from the Talcher Autonomous College and Utkal University. He has been serving as a Cabinet Minister since 3 September 2017. He has represented Madhya Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha from 3 April 2018 to 2 April 2024, and earlier served as a member of the 14th Lok Sabha. Prabhat Jha (4 June 1957 – 26 July 2024) was an Indian politician. He had been a member of the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh state in India. Faggan Singh Kulaste (born 18 May 1959; ) is an Indian politician. He is a 7th term MP. He served as the Minister of State for Rural Development and Steel of India in the Government of India. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was sworn in as Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Steel on 30 May 2019 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prakash Keshav Javadekar (born 30 January 1951) is an Indian politician and former parliamentarian. He served as the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change two times, from May 2014 to July 2016 and from May 2019 to July 2021. Najma Akbar Ali Heptulla (born 13 April 1940) is an Indian politician. She was the Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia from 2017 to 2023, until Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin was elected as new Chancellor on 14 March 2023.
