Rail Transport In Tver Oblast
Rail transport in Tver Oblast is one of the most important components of the region's transport system. There are more than 100 railway stations in the region, and the total length of railway tracks is . The largest railway hubs in the region are Bologoye, Tver Oblast, Bologoye, Rzhev, and Sonkovo railway station, Sonkovo. Most of the Tver region railroads belongs to the Moscow region (formerly the Moscow Division) of the October Railway, October railway. Railway transport in the territory of present-day Tver region has been developing since 1850, when the railway section between Vyshny Volochyok and Tver started operating. Tver Oblast (, ) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Tver. From 1935 to 1990, it was known as Kalinin Oblast (). Savyolovo () is a railway station located in Savyolovo, Kimry, Tver Oblast in Russia. The station was intended to serve the town of Kimry, with which Savyolovo eventually merged, on the opposite bank of the river. Kashin (town)
Kashin () is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, town and the administrative center of Kashinsky District in Tver Oblast, Russia, located around a rural agricultural area on the Kashinka River (Volga River, Volga's tributary).
