Pustec Municipality (; ), previously known as Liqenas Commune () from 1973 to 2013, is a municipality in the Korçë County of Albania. The population at the 2011 census was 3,290, in a total area of . The municipality's flag features the Vergina Sun. It consists of nine villages, comprising the areas along the Albanian, the southwestern shore of Lake Prespa. Dollna Goricë
Dollna Goricë (, Macedonian language, Macedonian : Долна Горица), formerly Goricë e Vogël, is a village on the western shore of Lake Prespa in the Pustec Municipality which is officially recognised as a Macedonian minority zone located in the Korçë County in Albania. History A survey in the late 19th century found Dolna Gorica to consist of 75 houses and 67 male Bulgarian Exarchist residents. In 1900, Vasil Kanchov gathered and compiled statistics on demographics in the area and reported that the village of Dolna Goritsa was inhabited by about 42 Bulgarian Christians. In February 1996, the village hosted a conference attended by officials from the Republic of Macedonia on the subject of the ethnic Macedonian minority in Albania. Dropull
Dropull ( sq-definite, Dropulli; ''Dropoli'' or ''Deropoli'') is a municipality in Gjirokastër County, in southern Albania. The region stretches from south of the city of Gjirokastër to the Greek–Albanian border, along the Drino river. Zërnosko (, formerly ''Zaroshkë''; , ) is a village in the Pustec Municipality which is officially recognised as a Macedonian minority zone located in the Korçë County in Albania. It is located at the southeastern end of Lake Prespa, south of the village of Pustec. The village is composed of ethnic Macedonians, which form part of the larger Macedonian minority in Albania. According to Bulgarian sources, including research by a Bulgarian scientist from Albania, the local inhabitants are Bulgarians. Tuminec
Tuminec (, formally ''Bezmisht'' and ''Kallamas''; Macedonian/ Bulgarian: Туминец) is a village just north of the Albanian portion of Lake Prespa in the Pustec Municipality of the Korçë County. The villages of Konjsko and Stenje are opposite the Albania-North Macedonia border from Tuminec. History According to archaeological evidence found in 2011, the Tuminec area was inhabited during Neolithic times. The nearby Church of the Holy Mother of God, a rock church, was built in the 14th century. The village was mentioned in the Slepche Beadroll from the end of XVI century. Pustec
Pustec (; ) formerly known as Liqenas (1973–2013), is a village in Pustec Municipality, Korçë County, eastern Albania. Situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Prespa, it is home to much of the Macedonian minority in Albania. Geography Pustec is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Prespa and is the nearest village to the island of Maligrad. It sits at an elevation of above sea level.
