Puscifer Songs
Puscifer () is an American rock group formed in Los Angeles by Maynard James Keenan, known as the lead singer of the bands Tool and A Perfect Circle. Initially, Keenan was the only permanent member, and as such he considered the project to be his "creative subconscious". Later, frequent collaborators Mat Mitchell and Carina Round became permanent members. Background Puscifer's original name was Umlaut, "a premiere improvisational hardcore band". The name "Puscifer" was first publicized as a fictional band in the first episode of ''Mr. Show'', including Keenan and Adam Jones as members. Jones is not associated with Puscifer otherwise, although artwork by Jones has been featured on Puscifer apparel (the "Your Mom's a Bitch" shirt, specifically). Adam Thomas Jones (born January 15, 1965) is an American musician, songwriter, animator, and visual and makeup artist, best known as the guitarist of Tool. Jones has been rated the 75th-greatest guitarist of all time by the ''Rolling Stone'' and placed ninth in ''Guitar World''s Top 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists. With experience in special effects and set design in the Hollywood film industry, Jones is also the director of the majority of Tool's music videos. ''"V" Is for Vagina'' is the debut studio album by Maynard James Keenan's side project Puscifer, released on October 30, 2007. The album features a significantly different, electronic sound and arrangements than Keenan's other bands: the progressive Tool and alternative A Perfect Circle. Keenan himself compared the sound of ''"V" Is for Vagina'' to "driving around in your car listening to those old Motown hits, James Brown, and cool R&B stuff". Alan Moulder (born 11 June 1959) is an English record producer, mixing engineer, and audio engineer. Early life Moulder was born on 11 June 1959 in Boston, Lincolnshire. He was educated at Boston Grammar School. He had an interest in music from an early age, listing Cream and The Beatles among his favourite artists. The first album he bought was ''Electric Warrior'' by T. Rex, and he was impressed by the quality of the recording. He joined his first band as a teenager and recorded a demo in a local studio. Though released a month prior, the song is not featured on the debut album '' "V" Is for Vagina''. It is the first song of theirs to be released that is not from a soundtrack or a remix.
