Mikron Theatre Company
The Mikron Theatre Company is an English touring theatre company, founded in 1972, which is notable for its tours by canal boat during the summer months, and by road in the spring and autumn. The company believes itself to be the only theatre company in the world which tours by narrowboat. History The company had its origins in an Edinburgh Fringe show in 1963. The name "Mikron", as well as being a Greek word meaning "small", is derived from the names of the trio who went to Edinburgh in 1963: MIKe Lucas, Sarah CameRON and RON Legge. In 1972, the company performed its first waterways-themed production, and in 1975 it acquired its narrowboat, ''Tyseley''. Mikron's archives are held at Heritage Quay, the archive collection of the University of Huddersfield. ''Pure'' is the second studio album by the British band The Primitives, released in 1989 as the follow-up to their debut, '' Lovely''. The line-up changed slightly over the course of the previous year: Steve Dullaghan was replaced on the bass guitar by Paul Sampson, who also shared the production duties with Wayne Morris. The first U.S. single from ''Pure'' was "Sick of It", which reached #24 in the UK. ''Pure'' is the fourteenth solo studio album by English musician Gary Numan, released in November 2000 by Eagle Records. Music and lyrics Lyrically, ''Pure'' was seen as continuing Numan's attacks on Christian dogma, but in a somewhat more personal fashion than on his previous album, ''Exile'' (1997). The recording featured an expanded group of collaborators after the largely one-man efforts of ''Sacrifice'' (1994) and ''Exile''. The Sulpher team of Rob Holliday and Monti contributed guitar and drums, respectively, as well as keyboards and additional production. The opening/title song was typical of most tracks on the album, beginning with ethereal strings and piano effects that gave way to an industrial metal guitar riff before breaking into a thunderous chorus. ''Pure'' is the second studio album by English industrial metal band Godflesh. It was released on 13 April 1992 through Earache Records. Though originally labeled only as industrial metal, the album has since been recognised as one of the earliest post-metal releases. Musically, ''Pure'' is rhythmically mechanical and features harsh guitars, with protracted songs and an abundance of deliberate repetition. Like much of Godflesh's music, it is regarded as particularly heavy and aggressive, and these elements helped it gain critical acclaim.
