Positiva Records Artists
Positiva Records is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group and concentrates on releasing dance music in the United Kingdom, UK. The record label was set up in 1993 in music, 1993, by Nick Halkes, who previously ran XL Recordings. Its headquarters are at the Universal UK offices (formerly at EMI offices in Brook Green in West London), where it is the only large dance music label under the EMI banner. Beautiful People (Barbara Tucker Song)
"Beautiful People" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Barbara Tucker, who co-wrote it with India, Lem Springsteen and "Little" Louie Vega, who along with partner Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, co-produced the track. "Seven Days and One Week" is a song by Italian-French electronic music act B.B.E. It was released in July 1996 by Triangle Records as the lead single from their debut album, ''Games'' (1998). B.B.E. was a French-based trance music act, originally composed of Italian record producers Bruno Sanchioni and Bruno Quartier, and French producer Emmanuel Top. Musical career "Seven Days and One Week" (1996) was a top ten hit in more than ten countries worldwide, reaching number three in the United Kingdom, and in Germany. The song was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for shipments of 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom. "1998" is an instrumental music track by British trance act Binary Finary, originally released in 1997 on the Aquarius label with "Zapya" as the B-side. When released the following year in 1998 on the Positiva label, the single peaked at No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was subsequently remixed numerous times under the title of the year the remix was produced (i.e. "1999", "2000", etc.). "1999" peaked at No. 11 and "2000" reached No. 84 in the UK. Binary Finary are a British trance act, originally comprising Matt Laws, Ricky Grant and Stuart Matheson. They are best known for the dance hit single "1998", especially for the Paul van Dyk and Gouryella remixes, which charted in many countries. The song was remixed numerous times under the title of the year the remix was produced ("1999" and "2000" etc.), many of which were popular. In the UK, "1998" reached a peak position of No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart whereas "1999" reached No. 11. Judy Cheeks (born February 13, 1954) is an American singer. In the 1970s and 1980s, she recorded as a soul and R&B singer, before releasing more dance-oriented music in the 1990s. Cheeks performed with Ike & Tina Turner as an Ikette. She also worked as a backing vocalist for various artists such as Stevie Wonder, Donna Summer, Amanda Lear, and David Knopfler. The Bucketheads
Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez (born June 7, 1970), also sometimes known as K-Dope, is an American record producer and disc jockey. He is one half of the classic house music Masters at Work musical production team with Little Louie Vega; and also released the hit " The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind)" as The Bucketheads. Biography Gonzalez started his DJ career in 1985 organizing neighborhood block parties in his home of Brooklyn, New York, with his then musical partner, Mike Delgado. Under the Masters at Work moniker, the parties became quite successful and attracted Todd Terry who later borrowed the group's name for two record releases. Terry returned the favor at a later date when he loaned Gonzalez a drum machine, which began his interest in producing beats.
