Philadelphia To Harrisburg Main Line
The Philadelphia to Harrisburg Main Line is a rail line owned and operated by Amtrak in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. This is the only electrified Amtrak line in the United States outside of the main line of the Northeast Corridor. The line runs from Philadelphia, where it meets the Northeast Corridor at Zoo Junction at railway milepost, milepost 1.9, west to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Harrisburg (MP 104.6), where electrification ends. The Main Line is part of the longer Keystone Corridor, which continues west to Pittsburgh along the Norfolk Southern Railway's Pittsburgh Line.Federal Railway Administration, This section is sometimes referred to as "Keystone East" and is part of Amtrak's Keystone Service. Broad Street Station (Philadelphia)
Broad Street Station at Broad and Market streets in Philadelphia was the primary passenger terminal for the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) in the city from December 1881 until the 1950s. Located directly west of Philadelphia City Hall, the site is now occupied by the northwest section of Dilworth Park and the office towers of Penn Center. The byte is a unit of digital information that most commonly consists of eight bits. Historically, the byte was the number of bits used to encode a single character of text in a computer and for this reason it is the smallest addressable unit of memory in many computer architectures. Zoo Junction is a junction (rail), junction on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the Northeast Corridor meets the Keystone Corridor, previously known as the Pennsylvania Railroad's Main Line.
