Faris Abdi (; born May 9, 1999), is a Saudi Arabian international association football, footballer who plays for Al-Fayha FC, Al-Fayha and the Saudi Arabia national football team, Saudi Arabia national team. Mark Atkinson is an American actor, filmmaker and comedian who appeared in the films '' Skin: The Movie'' (2020) and '' Hemet, or the Landlady Don't Drink Tea'' (2023), and produced the short films ''Pulp Friction'' (2021) and '' Leave 'Em Laughing'' (2020). Fred Baker (physician)
Frederick Baker (January 29, 1854 – May 16, 1938) was an American physician and civic activist in San Diego, California. He was the prime mover in founding the Marine Biological Institution, which became the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He was also a co-founder of the Zoological Society of San Diego and thus of the San Diego Zoo. He was a naturalist and an amateur malacologist. Early life and education Baker was born January 29, 1854, in Norwalk, Ohio. He earned a civil engineering degree from Cornell University in 1870, then joined a four-year scientific expedition in Central and South America. Returning to the United States, he earned an M.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1880. He married Charlotte LeBreton Johnson, a physician and influential suffragist, in 1881. Charlotte Johnson Baker
Dr. Charlotte Johnson Baker (March 30, 1855October 31, 1937) was an American physician who was the first woman to practice medicine in San Diego, California. She practiced obstetrics and gynecology at St. Joseph's Hospital, where her husband, Fred Baker, MD, was a general practitioner. The Bakers were the first husband-and-wife physicians in San Diego. Early life and education Baker was born Charlotte Le Breton Johnson in Newburyport, Massachusetts on March 30, 1855. She graduated from Newburyport High School in 1872, and spent a year teaching before enrolling in Vassar College in 1873. During this time, she was an instructor in gymnastics. Baker earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar in 1877. In the fall of 1879, she enrolled in medical school at the University of Michigan. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1881. David Bailey (motorcyclist)
David Bailey (born December 31, 1961) is an American former professional motocross racer and current television sports commentator. He was one of the leading American motocross and supercross racers during the 1980s. During his eight-year professional motocross career, Bailey won 30 AMA national race victories and won three motocross national championships. His motorcycle racing career was cut short after a practice crash left him paralyzed just before the start of the 1987 season. After his injury, Bailey began a new career as an expert motocross television commentator. Karl Laurence Backus is an American actor and art director who appeared in multiple productions of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in the 1980s and 90s, a San Diego production of '' Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde'' (2003), and the films '' Skin: The Movie'' (2018), ''Thane of East County'' (2015), and '' Walking with the Enemy'' (2013). Killing Of Ashli Babbitt
On January 6, 2021, Ashli Babbitt was fatally shot during the attack on the United States Capitol. She was part of a crowd of supporters of then outgoing U.S. president Donald Trump who stormed the United States Capitol building seeking to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. Despite multiple warnings not to proceed, Babbitt attempted to climb through a shattered window beside a barricaded door into the Speaker's Lobby and was thwarted when she was shot in the shoulder by a United States Capitol Police (USCP) officer. After a USCP emergency response team administered aid, Babbitt was transported to Washington Hospital Center, where she died. Eric Humberto Avila (born November 24, 1987) is an American professional soccer player who has played as a midfielder and defender. Early life and education Avila who is of Mexican descent, was born on November 24, 1987, in San Diego, California, to Julio and Maria Avila.
